Check out this week’s list of events, which just so happens to be the last of the semester. This list includes ice skating, Christmas music and a jazz concert.
First Park Church will be hosting their 98th annual Candlelight Christmas at 4 p.m. Sunday. There will be a free concert and free parking available. The church will also be accepting offerings. Free childcare will be available for children under the age of 5.
Grand Rapids Brewing Company, 1 Ionia Ave. SW, will be having a third anniversary party at 11 a.m. Saturday. There will be a limited edition release for two of their beers, Downtown Dank and The Philanthropist, limited to 200 bottles. The first 50 customers will receive a pint glass, t-shirt and a sticker. This event is open for all, but after 9 p.m. only guests over the age of 21 will be permitted.
Rosa Parks Circle, 155 Monroe Center St. NW, hosts open ice skating sessions from 10 a.m. -9:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. -9:45 p.m. Sunday from Dec. 3 through Jan. 3. The hours change from Jan. 4 through Mar. 6. to Monday and Tuesday: 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. – 9:45 p.m. and Sunday noon- 8:45 p.m. Skating is subject to weather and any closings will be posted to Grand Rapids Parks & Recreation’s website. Admission is $1 for persons 17 and under and $2 for anyone over the age of 18. Ice skate rentals are free with I.D.
The Randy Marsh Ensemble will be performing at One Trick Pony Grill & Taproom at 8 p.m. Sunday. There is no cover charge and everyone is welcome. Marsh is a well-known Michigan musician who has been performing for nearly 40 years.
